Lynne Harty, Photographer

As a freelance photographer, Lynne’s work in Asheville includes a well-known series of local and regional landmarks; her photos for the Biltmore Estate; her stop-motion videos of 5 Walnut Street and The Books Bar; her ad campaigns for the Citizen Times’ “Scene” section and her cover photos for the annual Chamber of Commerce publications, demonstrate her love for and her place in the community. Lynne has a way of beautifully capturing food in photographs and has shot numerous cookbooks including A Year of Pies, the Cake LadiesChips and the Homemade Living series. Chris Bryant, Food Stylist

Will be working as a freelancer food stylist with our photographer, Lynne Harty. Previously was the Senior Art Director and book designer at Lark Books. He has applied his knowledge of cooking and culinary trends to develop food and cookbooks such as the Homemade Living SeriesCake Ladies, and A Year of Pies. As a freelance food, photo and prop stylist his commercial clients include Publix, Marie Callender’s, Scripps Network and Yum! Brands. Editorial photography is Chris’s specialty and cookbooks are his passion, with styling credits on titles that include Crackers & Dips (Chronicle Books), The World of Doughnuts (Egg & Dart), and the Daisy Cakes Cookbook (Starbooks). Chris is also a food writer and cookbook author in his own right. His book, Chips: Reinventing a Favorite Food (Sterling Publications) showcases his food styling and Lynne Harty’s photography.
